I am very sorry to see the accusations made against you

and can only say that during my twenty two years trade to Hongkong

as l'aster in the PA Co I have never met a more courteous and

obliging man than yourself. You have during the above period paid

my crew off twice a year on board, and the exact money made up

before your arrival by the Purser which not in one instant was

found to be wrong.
